Davido ('OBO' OTONDO) walked out of camp without permission

Nigerian pop star, David Adeleke, known as Davido, has come under fire for allegedly travelling to Boston for US Tour when he is supposed to be at the Lagos camp observing the mandatory 3 weeks orientation period of the one-year National Youth Service Corps (NYSC),scheme.
The bye-laws of NYSC however states conditions when a person may be absent during the orientation period. It states that, “”During the period of orientation, every member shall: (i) Attend regularly, punctually and participate fully in all official engagements on the field, at lecture and all places of work; (ii) Not leave the Orientation Camp or absent himself from any official activity without the written consent of the State Director or his representative; (iii) When absent from his duties on account of illness ensure that such absence is covered by an Excuse Duty Certificate issued by a medical doctor then on duty at the camp.” The bye-laws however stipulates that.
“Leaving the camp without permission of the State Director” will attract “extension of the service year by double the number of days for which the member was absent from his camp and forfeiture of his allowance for the same number of days of which he was absent.” 
This has, however, raised some arguments among Nigerians as to whether Davido was permitted to travel and or; whether or not he flouted the NYSC bye-laws. While some said he did flout the bye-laws, others said he did not.Vanguard

After a long drawn battle, organised labour alongside private sector suspended its proposed mass action over their demand for a N30, 000 minimum wage as President Muhammadu Buhari warmly received the report of the Tripartite Committee of the National Minimum Wage. NLC SUSPENDS STRIKE

The Nigrerian Labour Congress has suspended its ongoing strike . The strike commenced on September 26. The National President of the NLC, Ayuba Wabba, announced the suspension of the strike at a press conference on Sunday in Abuja. “The suspension takes effect from today Sunday,” he said. The suspension means workers are expected to resume duties on Tuesday as Monday has been declared a public holiday by the federal government to mark the October 1 Independence Day. The workers are demanding a new minimum wage of about N50,000 instead of the current national minimum wage of N18,000. Most state governors as well as proponents of true federalism have, however, argued that states should be allowed to set their own minimum wage especially as many states are barely able to pay the current N18,000 current minimum wage.
